Performance

All claims are reviewed by an attorney, opened and properly acknowledged to the client by mail. After review, if documentation is in order, demand is immediately made on debtors, in an attempt to elicit voluntary payment arrangements. If the debtor refuses to make satisfactory voluntary payment, then on retail matters, suit is filed. All commercial claims are investigated by an attorney. Debtors will be contacted by the phone if possible. A full report, with recommendations and suit requirements, will follow within 30 days. We are assisted by our state of the art computer system which allows us to monitor each claim on a daily basis. In all matters, we adhere diligently to the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.

After judgment is obtained, we diligently pursue collection of accounts by use of garnishment, levies, debtor's interrogatories and, where applicable, creditors bills in equity. The client has complete control over the process and may determine which accounts to sue,  and/or how far to pursue a particular account. It is, after all,
your money.

If your objective is to select a law firm with a history of time tested reliability and one that specializes in debt collection and creditor's rights, then the clear choice is the Law Office of Christopher C. Rich, P.C.

Fees

Most fees are contingent on collection. Consumer claims are generally 33 1/3%. With all our clients, fee schedules are open to discussion and we invite dialogue.
